I will keep this short. I was promised 2.62% IN WRITING for a refinancing. After two months and $500 for an appraisal, two weeks after paying for the appraisal, I received a message congratulating me that they were ready to close at 3.2% - higher than my current rate. I demanded reimbursement of my appraisal fee to no avail. Beware their promises - even when in writing. They mean nothing. Do business with a reputable firm!
