Are there exceptions to the minimum loan amount when you use your tier two VA entitlement?

We actually called the VA to confirm that there is no exception to the $144,001 minimum loan amount when using your tier two entitlement. This information is also outlined on your certificate of eligibility. Unfortunately we are unaware of any way to work around the $144,001 minimum mortgage amount.

If you decide to move forward with your mortgage, we always recommend that you contact multiple lenders to understand how they would handle your situation. You can contact VA lenders in your area by clicking VA INTEREST RATES We advise you to contact at least four lenders as shopping lenders is the best way to save money on your mortgage. Plus, if you find a lender that offers a lower mortgage rate, you may feel more comfortable affording your monthly mortgage payment. You can also use our Personalized Mortgage Quote function to receive no obligation mortgage quotes from up to four lenders.
